A Stunning Summer Wedding in Skipton with a Saxophonist
Sunshine, breathtaking views, and an unforgettable party – Callum and Jake’s summer wedding at The Coniston Hotel, Skipton had everything you could ask for.
Having booked my all-day wedding entertainment package, I had the pleasure of performing as their wedding saxophonist throughout the celebrations, creating the perfect soundtrack from the afternoon drinks reception right through to the evening party.

The day began with live saxophone music during the outdoor drinks reception, where guests relaxed, chatted, and enjoyed the incredible surroundings. As a saxophone player, there’s nothing better than performing in the sunshine, and The Coniston Hotel provides one of the most beautiful settings for an outdoor wedding reception in Yorkshire.

With its stunning terrace overlooking the lake, The Coniston Hotel offers spectacular views that create the perfect backdrop for live wedding entertainment. The combination of fantastic weather, amazing scenery, and live saxophone music helped create a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
From Cocktail Hour to Outdoor Dancefloor
As the afternoon went on, the energy levels continued to rise. What started as a laid-back cocktail hour quickly transformed into an outdoor dancefloor, with guests singing, dancing, and making the most of the summer sunshine. These spontaneous moments are exactly why I love performing as a wedding saxophonist – live saxophone has a unique way of bringing people together and creating unforgettable memories.
There was even time for a hilarious lap dance for the mother of the groom, which certainly kept everyone entertained!
Evening Wedding Party with DJ and Saxophone
Following the speeches, it was time to move indoors for the evening celebrations. Joining forces with the brilliant Mitch from MKY Events, we kicked off the evening party with an energetic DJ and saxophone set that packed the dancefloor from the very first song.
One of the highlights of being a saxophonist at weddings is performing amongst the guests on the dancefloor. The interaction, singing, and incredible dance moves made the atmosphere absolutely electric and took the party to another level. It was fantastic to see everyone fully embracing the music and celebrating together.

Every wedding at The Coniston Hotel is unique, but Callum and Jake’s celebration will certainly be one I’ll remember for a long time. From the beautiful lakeside drinks reception to the unforgettable evening party, it was an honour to be part of such a special day.
